Wasn't Jesus a shaman? Fasted for forty days in the desert, talked to God and Satan, ect., ect. I think Shamanism is indeed a gateway to the spiritual mind. I highly recommend the book, "DNA and the Cosmic Serpent", it will help you to understand Shamanism from a western scientific viewpoint.

Help please - my wife wants a divorce
by IMHO ini've read some old posts and they don't really fit my situation.. my wife just told me she wants a divorce and that's it after nearly 20 years., she doesn't want to try to work on it.. other posts talk about friends and family.
i have no family and no friends (due to a lot of traveling).. i went back to my hometown a year ago (after many years away) and even then old friends treated me as a stranger, like they've moved on.. i've had a lot of emotional / mental problems, basically a breakdown so have found it impossible to fulfill my role as a husband for many years, emotionally and physically and she said she's had enough, although she's never talked about it before.. she went out and had an unplanned one-night-stand.
i forgive me but she says she doesn't love me anymore.. we both find it very difficult to communicate our feelings.

I have totally went through what you are going through right now, twice! You will survive this man, you can manage the mental problems too. I have managed severe anxiety and panic disorder with and without medication. All this shit you are going through may have a bright side to it. Look for that, and it can be a real help. By the way, feel free to give me a call if you can bring yourself to talk. Trust me, I understand. I have even gotten to the point where it is hard even to talk, just period. They will not do anything to you if you partake. It is not a JW law that you cannot partake. No one but God can say if you are anointed or not even according to JW doctrine. I went last year to the Memorial. I went to the hall that my parents go to, the same one I was disfellowshipped at. I showed up with my wife and kids, because you know how they are always wanting to make a good "witness" to the unbelieving mates. I had long hair and a big beard, was wearing a black hat, and bright orange snake print jeans, The elder handed the wine directly to me and I partake looking solemnly into his eyes. To my surprise, he also handed me the bread and I ate a piece of it too. I knew the elder very well, and used to go in service with him all the time. After the meeting was over, I stayed and talked to my mom and dad and other JW's with my wife and kids with me.
Don't let the Witnesses scare you. The only power they have, is the power you give them. Partake if that's what you feel is the right thing to do. Jesus did say that we all should partake. John chapter 6

I am attending the Memorial this year (March 30th, a Tuesday) and I am talking to my ex-JW friends about going with me. I went last year and partook at my parents Kingdom Hall, the same Hall I was DF'ed at. The news of what I did spread like wild fire. I know, because I have many JW friends who are not DF'ed and they still talk to me and tell me what the JW's are saying about me. Us going back to the Memorial will make a huge impact, much greater than merely picketing outside of Halls and assemblies. They cannot ignore you if you are in the building, acting calmly, and stating your stand with respect and dignity. I know, because i have done it.

Has the "new order" already begun?
by The Berean inlooking back at the year 1914 , it is obvious that the way mankind lives today is far superior.
in the us, for instance, the life span for men of that era was in the low 50s while today men can expect to live well into their seventies.
advanced communication, transportation, entertainment, health care, housing, and machines of all types make life so much more enjoyable for us in 2010. furthurmore, i have yet to speak to anyone who wishes they were living in earlier times.

Well really, if you read what Russell taught, that would be the case. In fact he taught that modern inventions like electric light, automobiles, ect. were evidence that Jesus invsible presence started in 1875 or whatever it was. You know, before Rutherford and Knorr the Watchtower taught that the Kingdom would slowly and invisibly be made manifest out of the chaotic great tribulation in 1914. Russell said that a loving God would not kill off %99 of the population as most churches taught in his day, because that would be unloving. I am not kidding, this is what he really taught.
Anyway, they did think that Kingdom rule on earth would be obvious and visibly manifest well before now, maybe 2 to 8 years or something. What's interesting, is that in the book, "Thy Kingdom Come", it said that after the 1914 upheaval there would be a sowing of seed for the earthly heirs of the Kingdom and a later reaping of the harvest. It seems that mankind has advanced exponentially, but hasn't yet figured out how to properly use his new estate. Nor have we moved on from past ideas and doctrines that we should know better than yet.

As far as "God" goes, I have a very Carl Jung take on him/her. I have not heard of Covariation Theory, but I will have to check it out. Let's all go back and partake. Maybe it will awaken the collective unconcious of the Witnesses.

Do you believe that the hot water and lake of fire refer to harsh reprimanding and refining discipline for those who have erred, or do you believe in everlasting torment? Do you think that when the Kingdom begins it's rule it will be a literal war that Jesus slays the wicked in? Do you believe that the earth will be a paradise?
